Otunba (Dr.) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, popularly called the”Man of Destiny” by his admirers, is a man whose life career has been dazzling and inspiring.

He is an inspired leader and handler of men, but who could be stiff and stern in the face of impudence and when his position is undermined or besieged, a charming and tactful friend, with a warm sense of humor. He rewards loyalty and his consideration for the welfare of his loyalists, associates, benefactors and the general mass of the people has continually brought him the rewards of victory, and his mercy and courtesy towards his subordinates are the gratuitous expressions of the man's character.As governor he has brought warmth and energy to governance, proving himself an effective and efficient administrator. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of humanity,Otunba Alao Akala was conferred with an honourary Doctorate Degree by the University in 2006.

Governor Oyinlola is a highly principled, painstaking and thorough personality who builds relationships based on trust. He cherishes the family name and is always on guard to prevent ugly situations from tarnishing the good name reputedly built by the Oyinlola dynasty of Okuku over the decades.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of humanity, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola was in April 2004, conferred with an honourary Doctorate Degree in Civil Law by the University. The current government in Osun State , Nigeria , enjoys tremendous goodwill and confidence of the populace on account of its conduct so far, which places great premium on accountability and the running of an open administration.
