Training at LAUTECH ICT Centre
Training Overview
Recently, computers have become popular instruments for technological advancement. People in almost all sectors of economy are applying computers in one way or another. However, being machines they cannot perform without being driven. Hence computer knowledge is inevitable to almost every human being.
Having this in mind, the LICTC organizes computer training for the University community and general public. It has been observed that, though same courses can be taken by different groups of people, it is wise to separate these groups and teach them differently.
The following groups have been identified:
• Secondary School levels
• Working (in-service) such as normal level staff e.g. secretaries, normal administrator's etc.
• Managers and Top level administrators.
• Technical staff that may need specialized courses and monitoring.

Presently, the centre offers professional certificate in the following courses:
• Desktop publishing with printing Technology
• Telemedicine
• RF Technology
• Webcasting
• Data Management
